Too many photographers are asked to hand over their work for nothing more than a credit and the promise of visibility. We wanted to build the opposite: a place where the answer to good work is simply to pay for it. Today Happyapple is a marketplace connecting photographers with the people who want to buy their images. You keep 80% of every sale, there's no upfront cost to list, and the admin most photographers dread, like naming, describing, and tagging, can be handled for you so you can spend your time behind the camera instead.

AI only ever drafts the busywork, and only if you want it to. Every suggestion is yours to accept, edit, or ignore. The creativity stays human.

Payouts run through Stripe straight to your bank, originals sit in redundant cloud storage, and every image is watermarked to protect your work.
Our stance on AI
Artists are right to draw a hard line on AI replacing creative work. Consent, credit, and being paid for your craft matter, and a photograph made by a person who was there, who chose that moment, is worth protecting. We agree. So we're deliberate about where AI belongs at Happyapple, and where it never will.
Only the admin, never the art
AI at Happyapple only ever touches the busywork: suggested titles, descriptions, and tags. It never touches the image and never makes the creative decision. The photo, and the choice to publish it, are always yours.
Always optional
Every AI suggestion is optional and skippable. Write your own titles and descriptions, tag your own way, or turn the suggestions off entirely. AI is a shortcut we offer, never something we require.
Made by humans, verified
Happyapple is a marketplace for human-made photography. We screen uploads for AI-generated images and flag them, because this is a place for work made by real photographers behind real cameras.
Transparent by default
We're upfront about exactly where AI is used and where it isn't. No hidden generation, no quiet edits to your images, and no surprises. If something changes in how we use AI, you'll hear it from us.
