Frequently asked questions
Nothing to start. The Free plan costs $0, needs no credit card and includes up to 150 photos. Pro is $19 NZD a month (1,000 photos) and Expert is $39 NZD a month (5,000 photos). There are no listing fees and no charge per upload on any plan.
You keep 100% of the price you set. Buyers pay a 25% service fee on top of your price, and that fee is how Happyapple is paid. For example, if you price a photo at $80, the buyer pays $100 and you receive $80. Your monthly plan (if any) covers extras like higher upload limits, per-photo pricing and a white-labelled showcase.
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade from your dashboard at any point. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle.
Your photos and collections stay intact. Paid features are locked when your plan ends, but your account and every uploaded image are kept on the Free plan. Happyapple never automatically deletes your content.
No. Buyers can check out as a guest with just an email address, and the download link is sent to them straight away. They can optionally create a free account to keep their purchase history and re-download files later.
Stripe is the payment processor we use to handle sales securely and pay you. It is one of the world's most trusted payment platforms, powering payments for companies like Amazon, Google, and Shopify, plus millions of businesses worldwide. You connect your bank account to Stripe once during setup, and from then on your earnings are deposited directly to you after each sale. Happyapple never sees or stores your card or bank details — Stripe handles all of that securely.
Payouts are processed via Stripe. Once a sale clears, your full price is transferred to your connected bank account on a regular payout schedule.
Each plan has an upload limit: Free includes 150 images, Pro 1,000 and Expert 5,000. There is no limit on how many times each photo can sell.
Yes. Uploading to Happyapple does not transfer ownership. You keep the copyright and stay free to sell the same work anywhere else. You grant Happyapple a licence to display and sell your photos on the platform, and nothing more.
No. Happyapple is for real, human-made photography. Every upload is screened for signs of AI generation, and images flagged as AI-generated are rejected or removed. That is part of what buyers come here for.
